Malekeh Nayiny
Malekeh Nayiny is one of the most well-known and talented contemporary female Iranian artists. Born in 1955 in Teheran, Iran, Malekeh Nayiny studied textile design and photography in the United States. During this period photography became her passion. She concentrated on a traditionaltechnique called photogramme and developed her own style in color. After receiving her BFA, she moved to New York and continued to study photography, and began to successfully exhibit her work. In 1989 she moved to Paris and began a series of paintings on china plates with enormous success. After the death of her parents, she did a photographic project based on her past and forgotten old family photos. It was a success. Her other projects were centered around the theme of homelessness. Since 1989 Malekeh Nayiny has exposed her work throughout the world. Other than her enormous talent what characterizes best Malekeh Nayiny’s work is without doubt her humanity and her profound sensibility to the world and people around her. Today Malekeh Nayiny lives and continues her passionate work in Paris.
Malekeh Nayiny est l'une des artistes féminines iraniennes contemporaines les plus connues et les plus talentueuses. Née en 1955 à Téhéran en Iran, Malekeh Nayiny étudie le design textile et la photographie aux États-Unis. Durant cette période, la photographie devient sa passion. Elle se concentre sur une technique ancienne appelée photogramme et développe son propre style en couleur. Après avoir obtenu son BFA, elle a déménagé à New York et a continué à étudier la photographie et a commencé à exposer avec succès son travail. En 1989, elle s'installe à Paris et commence une série de peintures sur assiettes en porcelaine avec un énorme succès. Après la mort de ses parents, elle réalise un projet photographique basé sur son passé et de vieilles photos de famille oubliées. Le thème de l'itinérance est un des thèmes forts de ses travaux. Depuis 1989, Malekeh Nayiny a exposé son travail à travers le monde.
